Ready, Set, Procrastinate!!

This semester I am taking a Sewing with Knits class. It is overwhelming. There are multiple projects going on at the same time.  Part of the course requires a portfolio. Rather that sewing, I organized the portfolio. There are 10 samples sets so I made the headings for each of the sets and printed the rubric that goes with each set. Also required is the dissection and replication of 4 ready to wear techniques as well as 4 complete garments. I made the headings for each of the requirements along with the matching rubric.

Still not organized enough. I made all the individual pages for each of the samples that belong to a sample set. I copied pages from the sewing machine and serger manual that applies to knits and included them in the appropriate section of the portfolio.

Included in the portfolio are fabric samples.  I reprinted the template 10 times and completed some of the pages. Now the portfolio is empty but completely organized. The task of filling and completing the portfolio seems manageable.

Now I am starting the task of preparing and prepping the fabric needed to make the samples. A piece will be added to the fabric sample section.

Ready, Set, GO!!
