Butterick 6460

The pattern is described as close fitting pull-on skort, shorts, and pants. Has a wide curved waistband and elastic. Designed for 75% stretch. Available as xs-s-m or l-xl-xxl.

Pattern contains options for 5 different lengths, one of which has side seams.

This is a great basic active wear pattern. The pieces go together well. I made some modifications. I make a band at the bottom of the legs to prevent the legs from riding up while running. I adjusted the vertical seam allowances to 3/8 inch but left the horizontal seam allowances at 5/8 inch. This helps hide the waistband elastic.

I plan to try a couple of additional modifications. I want to draft a key/phone pocket in in the back of the waistband or side of the legs. I would like to try adding a power mesh lining to the waistband to ensure adequate recovery and possible eliminate the elastic. I also want to want to use the pattern as a base for drafting a triangle and diamond gusset. Additional plans include widening and/or lowering the waistband.
