Loops and Threads Charisma....bulky 5
The directions for the infinity scarves that we made over Christmas break said to cast on 21 stitches.
Occasionally a few were dropped and later added. But in the end, the scarf finished with 21 stitches.
As more scarves were made, consistency in gauge and stitch number improved.

Copy Cat...Elastic Waistband without a Casing
This waistband technique works great with knits. Now that I have used it, I see it in ready to wear. The elastic is cut to the waist size and sewn together. It is place on the top of the garment on the wrong side and zigzagged on the edge. There is no need to stretch as you sew because the garment is also cut without ease.
The waist band is folded to the inside of the garment. Stitching in the ditch of the side seams secures the waistband in place.
Bernina Knit Bits
I just learned a technique for pattern placement and cutting to use with thin or slippery knits.
Place the fabric on top of flannel or a large piece of felt and pin. The fabric will stick to the flannel like an old school felt board. The pattern pieces are then cut along with the flannel
